In November 2023, Sukhman | Yagoda settled a downstate case against a hospital for its failure to timely diagnose and treat an infection in a child with a pre-existing heart condition resulting in severe neurological injuries. The hospital and its various physicians failed to timely diagnose and treat the infant’s positive blood culture and signs and symptoms of SEPSIS and meningitis resulting in severe brain damage.
